Week 3
This week we learned about safe food preparations and hygiene in the workplace. I know now that even when we are working outside with the animals, that hygiene is also very important there because even if they are animals they can also get sick by cross contamination. I learned about fire breaks and where to go if something like that occurs. I also learned more about how to deal with difficult people whether they work at Sondela or not.
I also worked my first weekend and it was quite an experience. The Friday I did some more welcoming, worked at reception on Saturday and on Sunday I worked at the wildlife cente again where i cleaned the cages and gave the animals love, care and of course I fed them. That was the most amazing time off my life...
